  • 2 cup cooked long grain basmati rice
  • 200 gm paneer cubes
  • 5 cup chopped carrots
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 1/2 cup chopped beans
  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup cashew nuts
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2-3 cardamoms
  • 3-4 cloves
  • 1 inch cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 8-10 black pepper
  • 4 tsp ghee
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2-3 tsp sugar or as per your taste

Method to make the Navratan Pulao

Now, let’s come to the most exciting part of the recipe and it is the cooking method. Here you will about all the steps in the précised order that you just have to follow to enjoy the delicious taste of rice. And the steps that you have to follow are mentioned here in the following manner:

  1.  The first and foremost step that you have to follow is to take the 2 cups of rice and wash them properly with water.
  2.  Keep them soaked in water for 15 minutes and then rinse off the water properly.
  3. Then you have to take a pan and put oil into it and once the oil gets heated, then you have to add the nuts into it.
  4. Then you have to sauté the nuts and after that add the paneer and all the chopped vegetables until it turns golden brown.
  5. After that you have to add all the spices and mix them properly.
  6. Once you do that, then you have to add the rice into it and then mix it again and now you have to add the water into it.
  7. But you must remember one thing when you add water, then the quantity of it is twice the ratio of rice. For example, if you have 2 cups of rice, then the water should be of 4cups.
  8. Then stir it properly cover it with the lid on medium flame and leave it until the water soaks up completely.
  9. Once the water gets soaked, then you have to turn off the gas flame and serve it on the plate also add the coriander leaves on the top for garnishing.
